It looks like we've given up on Marian's champagne "answer".

I stumbled across this trivia on Sunday, so try to guess the question for this answer.

45 years ago this week: 25.11.62 - 1.12.62

No idea Paul, although of course, the 1st December was Matt's Birthday. Maybe some connection??

My answer was - the Monro family once had two dogs called Moet and Chandon.

Those are cute names for the Monro family dogs!

Hint for mine: the UK charts.

Could it be that "Softly As I Leave You" entered the charts Paul?

Or anything to do with The Beatles
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Wrong on both accounts. It has nothing to do with SAILY or the Beatles. It pertains to a song that I like much better than SAILY.

Question....
What week in 1962 did "My Love and Devotion" sung by Matt Monro, enter the U.K. charts at number 31?

Your close Marian (and have the right song), but not exactly correct. Please try again. :)

Hi Paul,
I guess it's "enter" and "chart position" that are wrong...
I found varying chart positions for "My Love and Devotion" from 39, thru 37, 33, to 29 :? :?

www.everyhit.com - an interesting website I found anyway!

I have used the everyhit website for years. It's a great resource. :) I wish there was a similar website for US charts, but I've never found anything. :(

The actual question is:

When did My Love And Devotion peak at #29 on the UK Singles Chart?

Here is the specific information about its chart run:

MY LOVE AND DEVOTION (BY MATT MONRO) Parlophone (R4954)
Date Entered: 10.11.1962
Peak : 29
Chart Run: 49-39-34-29-47--> 5 Weeks
