I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

What about "Groovy kind of love"--wasn't that their biggest hit?
I loved "Pamela Pamela"--but have hardly heard it since.

I may have indicated before that I'm a fan of 60s' music and I also like "Game of Love" and "Pamela, Pamela"; I think the Mindbenders (or perhaps Wayne Fontana separately) also did a number called "Um,Um,Um,Um". I read recently that Wayne Fontana fell on hard times in later life and once set fire to a bailiff's car in protest at a congestion charge fine, for which he got 11 months in jail. Another pop star of the 60s, PJ Proby (whose most famous hit was "Hold Me" - though I don't much care for it myself), is currently awaiting trial in (I think) Worcester on a charge of benefit fraud to the tune (if you'll excuse the pun) of £47,000 or so.
Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Yes, that was another of theirs "Um, um , um, um"--a nicer song than it sounds.
I did not know about the bad times Wayne Fontana has been through--nor PJ Proby , come to that. It is ages since I heard him mentioned--didn't he sing [??] "Maria " ---No, I think it was "Somewhere ".

Listening to disc 2 of The Searchers Pye Anthology tonight.........some decent lesser well known songs too

"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
I like the Pye Anthology cd's as well Robert. I have a couple of Petula Clark ones, and a Jackie Trent and Mark Wynter one and they put a lot of the lesser known songs on them. Quite a few gems amongst them.

What a voice Jimmy Roselli has John and Eric Hall played one of our other favourite singers last Sunday,.. Jerry Vale singing " More" and tomorrow he is going to play our Matt singing "Till The End Of Time." for one of the phone-in callers.
unless he forgets of course
