Mathis magic
Hi Mariana
I am glad you enjoyed it.
What about your Johnny Mathis encounters over the years?
Have you managed to record any?

Would you believe Terence I don't think I have any photos of Jack Jones signed specifically to me, like your great ones of Dame Shirley.
Over the years as I've followed his career I of course have lots of signed programmes, a few photos taken with him and the family, group photos with Jack and other JJ friends at different times we've been to shows etc. Christmas cards and letters from the family which are lovely and a great keepsake. Photos of his daughter growing up. They first brought her over on a tour at 4 weeks old and she is now almost 17!
We had a wonderful visit over to Palm Springs a few years back when Jack was presented with his "Star" in the main street. Several of us went over for the event and we also were invited to the "After Star Party" in the evening, at the house/garden of the Houstons, very well known residents of the area. It was absolutely fantastic, and a memory that will I will always cherish.

Singer Bassey bonds with the dance charts
Forty years after Welsh vocal powerhouse Shirley Bassey first hit the Billboard Hot 100, she is back on a Billboard chart as her cover of Pink's "Get the Party Started" climbs the Hot Dance Club Play list.
The rebound underlines the strength of her latter-day club and gay audiences, and provides the ideal aperitif to the March 18 U.S. Decca release of an album with the same title.
The album has sold 60,000 units in the United Kingdom, according to Decca Music Group. It debuted in the U.K. top 10 and set the scene for Bassey's widely acclaimed 2007 appearance at the Glastonbury Festival, when her iconic status was acknowledged by Arctic Monkeys' onstage cover of "Diamonds Are Forever."

March 4
Hi Mariana
Looks like the March 4 release date is for the U.S market.
Amazon sent me an email that they have shipped my CD too.
Can't wait!
By the way, what is your favourite song from this CD? Is it "Sometimes"?

My 2 favourites from "You take my Heart away" are "Perfect Strangers" and "This ones for you" although I do really like all the other songs on that album--I have not heard the other one yet, so I am really looking forward to that.
Funnily enough the new JM cd--now due at the end of the month, is scheduled for release in Uk before USA.
