special days in August

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

55 is nothing Greg, my birthday is the 9th. I hope you had a good one?

Last year I was at a friends 60th in the States and the card I got him stated 60 is the New 40, age is a state of mind!

The G&T sounds good but I think I will have the champagne that never got opened at Christmas :P

By the way I will be in Melbourne in November at the end of my Australian holiday.

I just picked up my 2 MM LP's from the Post Office as I was out when they called yesterday, I have also just had an SMS text (whatever they are) on my phone wishing me a happy birthday but nobody left a name - don't tell me BT call you up now and wish you a Happy Birthday?

Thanks all, I have just had a glass of champagne (or was it three) and feeling on top of the roof - no world, I think!

Happy Birthday Karl, although of course I already know you are downing the champagne!
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hard to believe that tomorrow 31st it will be 12 months since my Dad passed away. Where has that year gone?

John time passes so fast, I lost my dad in 1987 and my mum in 2006, it will be her birthday next week and October will be her 5th anniversary, it just seems like yesterday she was here.
Time eases the pain of losing them but we never forget and we never stop missing them.

John, I cannot believe either that it is a year since you lost your dad.
I know this first year will have been tough for you, but I know you have many happy memories of your mum and dad.

You are so right Karl-I lost my dad over 50 years ago, and my mum 26 years ago. Mums and Dads leave special memories behind.
