"I'll Only Miss Her When I Think Of Her" you may remember Sandra, was poignantly played at Mickie's funeral.

I came across an LP called John O'Banion that I've had awhile, gave it a spin and it's really good - I did a google search and was dismayed to find the poor guy died some years ago, he was in an accident in the 90's and suffered from blunt force trauma, I think it said he passed away around 2002.

Thanks for the link Robert. Have to confess, we have never heard of him. Nice voice, good looking.
He sings Meancholy Baby on the Tonight show clip there.

I got home this afternoon and my Dad was playing his stereo. He was listening to the Matt album called "This is the Life". When the song "My Best Girl" came on he took my Mum's arm and they started dancing and he was singing with the record. It's been awhile since I've seen my Mum and Dad dance, probably ages. Yet me being me pretended to stick my finger down my throat and gag and I said blah". As they would expect me to say something like that. LOL.. Yet deep down inside I thought it was pretty cool and nice and that's gonna be something I'm gonna remember in the long run thanks to Matt's music. Now when I hear that song, I'm gonna think about my parents dancing. :D

A lovely moment for you to remember Eman, and all thanks to Matt's beautiful music. It made me think of the song Matt Jr now always includes in his show.. "Dance with my Father Again." :D

Those kind of memories are the best too Eman. I often think of the past years when on Sunday mornings it was regular in our house to put the gramaphone on and with my Mother and Sister we would dance to all those records while the roast was cooking in the oven, and even my brothers would occasionally join in.
My mother passed away 7 years ago, and both my brothers, but family memories like this surpass all others. :)

Thanks all. You are right these are memories that I won't and can't forget. My Mum often times tells me when she hears certain songs she remembers when all 5 of us kids (my siblings in which I'm the baby) were together growing up. My Dad often tells me that when I was born his record collection went down the waste bin because he would have to buy all these long haired creatures jumping in strange clothes that shouted and didn't sing. Typical Dad huh? I kid him and said I saved your record collection..ha ha..but in honesty he was right and I love my folks' music now.

Just been listening to Al Martino's Readers Digest set, disc 3. Lovely songs including Love Is Blue, The Next Hundred Years and the beautiful Voice In The Choir. :D
