I do remember a singer way back with the name Twinkle ( i think ) who sang Terry.
Tracey Ullman did a cover of 'Terry' on an album in the early 80s, along with 'Move over Darling', 'Where the boys are', 'I close my eyes and count to ten' and 'Bobbys Girl' - she obviously loved those 60s female singers,

Twinkle herself is the aunt of 'Cold Feet' actress Fay Ripley.

** EUROVISION FACTOID ALERT ** -  Twinkle recorded a song called 'Lonely Singing Doll'. This was the English version of the winning 1965 Luxembourg entry 'Poupee de cire, poupee de son', originally penned by the infamous Serge Gainsbourg and sung by France Gall. This song pipped the sensational Kathy Kirby into 2nd place at the 1965 Eurovision, despite her energetic rendition of the song 'I belong'
Michael

Here I go again, I hear those trumpets blow again.......

That's right Marian, but thanks for that Mike. Have just discovered that Twinkle and Terry are on YOUTUBE. It strikes me that whover Twinkles hairdresser was at the time must have been in a temper for that session.
