Sad to read that the former D.J. Jimmy Saville had died aged 84. Always remember him of course as well for his series Jim'll Fix It.

Really sad to hear that Jimmy Savile has died.
He was a great character and made regular appearances on TV, remembered mainly on Top Of The Pops and Jim'll Fix it, but he will also be remembered for his charity work in which he raised Millions of pounds for worthy causes, and worked tirelessly at Leeds Infirmary and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals helping and caring for patients.
He will be sadly missed.
R.I.P. Jimmy Savile. :(

Really sorry to hear about Jimmy Savile.

We bumped into him on Scarborough seafront on one of his runs.

He was happy to stop and speak to us and pose for photographs as the crowds gathered round him.

R.I.P. Jimmy :(

Jimmy started out playing records in the Dance Halls .................I remember listening to him on Radio Lumembourg in the 60's before he joined Radio 1 .................Jim presented the first ever Top of the Pops :) .......................it's such a shock when a cult and seemingly ageless celebrity such as Sir Jimmy Savile passes away :( ..........................RIP :(

I was sad to read about Jimmy Savile--a great character, who worked so hard for charity.

I remember him from 1981--I attended a huge lunch in London to celebrate Johnny Mathis 25th year singing, and Jimmy Savile was the special guest, to accept the cheque presented by Johnny Mathis, that we had all collected for as a gift for Johnny Mathis 25th Anniversary.

He never seemed to change over the years.

He came across as very private man but also much loved and a character who will be sadly missed. I wrote to Jimmy a few years ago and asked him to sign the photo i sent him and he did and said "Hi Darren, Please send us some sunshine" thats Jimmy for u ever the comedian and never short of a witty phrase! Oh i thought i was funny that he wanted his coffin tilted so he could see the sea!

He will be greatly missed! R.I.P Jimmy Saville :(

After Jimmy passed away I read that a certain famous dj was asked to say something about Jimmy - he replied he could not think of anything nice to say about him and hung up the phone!
