Lena, I thought I was the founding father of
The Matt Monro Admiration Society; provided
Matt was on The Winifred Atwell show on Radio
Luxembourg in 1951(when I was first captivated
by the mellow voice), then I can boast 57 years
of 'love and devotion'. However I read in one of your
recent posts that you remember the war years;
in which case I happily bow to your superior,
and venerable, record.

Thank you very much for your kind words Keith, and Mike, and yes we have been admirers of Matt's for many years, and talking of the war, it's strange to imagine that we shall soon be approaching and joining the band of-- coffin dodgers. :lol: We remember only too well starting out like that, except it was Adolph who wanted to cancel us out, but we got away with it.
Maybe we should name ourselves -- The Artful Dodgers. 8)

Talking of "Artful Dodgers"--I wonder why "I'll do anything" did not do a search for an Artful Dodger---I think he is a much better character than Oliver.
