Two comments to reply to - Paul you say Michael Holliday sang with no emotion, as he was very smilar to Bing Crosby would you say the same about him?

And Robert, not sure how old you are but I like Peggy Lee more now than I did when I was younger but I didn't dislike her then. Dusty was a huge Peggy Lee fan, did you know that?

No I didn't know that Karl. Apart from extraordinary The Folks Who Live on Hill and the song from Lady and the Tramp, I just never found Peggy Lee's voice very exciting

Back to Michael Holliday, I watched excerpts for his TV Show where he sings duets with himself on his tape recorder (See on "You Tube")
Please check out songs by him like "Dinah" & "Lazy Medley"...the recorded voice sounds more like Bing than he does.

Back to a song Matt should have sung---"I'LL ALWAYS BE IN LOVE WITH YOU" - Michael Holliday
But the definitive version of this lovely ballad was sung by Don Cornell w/Sammy Kaye in 1948!! (Hear it on "You Tube")
Please do not confuse with more popular "I Will Always Love You" (Whitney Houston)

Robert, it is a puzzle to me why Michael committed suicide as he seemed so happy and relaxed on TV.
He could not have been that depressed! Is there any more info on him or a book out about his life?

Could you transfer the "YouTube" Video of Don Cornell's "I'll Always Be in Love with You' to this site?
I've tried to do it but I've failed each time...Maybe you could E-Mail me how to do it at ....hpucci@yahoo.com

Well, back to Matt's songs .....How about...STRANGER IN PARADISE?

I think it was a well known fact that Michael Holliday was depressed, when he committed suicide--it certainly shocked everyone in Uk at the time, because as Henry mentions he seemed so relaxed on TV.

I just had a good idea for a song that Matt could have song--lo and behold--Henry beat me to it.

But how about "It might as well be spring"---I can imagine him sionging that song.
