A sad story. She was 61 yrs of age when she died, and a plaque was unveiled in 2006 in Belfast in her honour.
Her ex husband Bernie Burgess manages her web-site and was at the unveiling with their son and daughter.
Ruby did marry again and happily apparently, but she finally died in a nursing home where she spent the last Eight years of her life.
Their son Tim Murray is a singer and entertainer.

Another favourite song of mine was 'Evermore'.

Is it something like "Lavender's Blue"--although I do not recall Ruby Murray singing that song ?

I am pretty sure that it is not "Deep Purple"
