Petula Clark - usen't to think she had much of a voice but have revised my opinion in recent years. My favourite Pet song is "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener".

I rather think that in the last few years, Petula has been underrated.

Plus I was surprised at how prolific she has been-I have a few of her cds, but there are many more.

She was so good in "Sunset Boulevard" and "Blood Brothers".

I also have always liked 'the other mans grass' Jon, and I can kind of understand you underrating her in the past. She has always got on with her career quietly, without lots of publicity.

Petula was on The One Show the night before last. She mentioned the time on one of her early shows where she touched Harry Belafonte on the arm, and she was told off by the producer for touching a black man.
She kept it in the show.

had lunch with pet clarks brother last friday at a variety club do, i didnt know until we started chatting about music, he said oh! my sisters a singer!!
she didnt do too badly me thinks!! :D

I received her new album of Rod Mckuen songs entitled "Sunshine and Solitude" today, well worth a listen, some good tracks including "Seasons in the Sun" and a superb version of "Loves been good to me". Only available in the U.S at the moment.
