Has anyone come across JAMES TORME son of MEL yet?

He guested at our Syd Lawrence Orchestra Societys annual convention this weekend.

Our opinion was that he has a long way to go to follow Dad

I knew that Mel Torme had a son called James, and a daughter called Daisy , from his marriage with Janette Scott--last time I saw them--could have ben "This is your life" with Thora Hird, and they were just teenagers-I wondered then if either of them woiuld follow in theor fathers footsteps, but this is the first I have heard that at least one of them might.

Mel Torme is one of my favourite singers, and it would be hard to imagine that someone else could sing the way he did.

Mel Torme is a singer I can take or leave. He did guest on one of Dusty's tv shows in the 60's though

It was only after he died, that I really came to like him a lot-I bought a cd called "That's All" and loved it, and have bought many more since.

Marian I didn't even know Mel was dead, I just googled him and he passed away in 1999.

That is right-I would have guessed over 10 years.
