Well, yes Marian, actually it only dawned on me as I was about to submit the post, but it looks as though dick's got a reprieve.
Anyway, i've heard of the fastest milkcart in the west but this postman REALLY moves, and after tying the trolley to a lamp post with some string and loaded with all the undelivered cargo, he disappears into the pub.
No I mean the film made in 2000. It's a haunting and romantic movie about two people in Hong Kong, who are being cheated on by their spouses. I'm not going to give out any spoilers, but I will recommend the film to all here. Music lovers will enjoy this film for it's beautiful soundtrack. There's a couple of Nat King Cole songs to enjoy too, which fit the mood of the film so well!
It turns up on Film 4 now and again, but it's easily available on DVD too.
Afterr a little detective work, I can say that the Marian and Peter of the top post is OUR Marian and Peter---so a big welcome to Peter to our forum. !! We hear much about you--now we can hear from you too. !
Well I doubt it very much Marian, as Peter can't even switch on the computer, perhaps I'll give him some lessons!
Yes it is us, and sometimes Peter wants to reply and add things on the forum like we all do, so sometimes I will write from us both, but probably mostly from me as usual!
It also boosts the memberlist, which I thought at the moment would be a good idea!
Peter says thankyou for his welcome Marian
Marian
Yes, welcome Peter.................but wouldn't you let him have his own user name, Marian ?? after all, you have your own
My postman brought the telephone bill today.........................at 2.10 pm....................yes, that was the first delivery of the day, not the second or third

I remember seeing 42nd Street as a live musical in London---many years ago.
At the time there was a young, completely unknown, but very talented dancer and singer on the show--she just simply stole the show---just like the story of 42nd Street in fact.
I looked up the girl's name, so that I could remember her---and her name was Catherine Zeta Jones---yes the same Catherine who went on to star in "The Darling buds of May" and then to marry Michael Douglas.

We saw it as a Westend musical with Frankie Vaughan in 1985.
We payed a fair price for a lousy seat way back, and because of the low balcony, we could only see half of what was happening on the stage.
We should have asked for half our money back.
Watched a film called "The Happening" last night about a toxin that appears in the air which suddenly makes people commit suicide all accross the U.S. It was o.k, then I fell asleep as usual and woke up when it was just finishing.
