What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
Hmmm..yeah you may be right or they'll remake "Xanadu" and make it less dumb then the original Olivia Newton-John movie. Great songs though.
Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?

I saw the trailer for Total Recall the other night, alongside a Superman remake and news of a Mad Max reboot.

Gray, a Mad Max reboot? Gee if the first one wasn't bad enough, do we need a reboot.
Though I can't wait to see what they do with Superman.

Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
I like Mel Gibson's films most of the time but Mad Max must be the worst ever!!!!!
Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
I see Hitchcock's "Vertigo" has been named the Greatest Film of All Time by the British Film Institute's Sight and Sound magazine, beating "Citizen Kane" for once. "2001: A Space Odyssey" came sixth.

I have seen quite a few Alfred Hitchcock films--but i do not remember seeing that one.

Thanks Robert--yes, I knew it was a well known film, with James Stewart--but I did not know Kim Novak was in it.It was just one I missed.

Vertigo is brilliant, in my humble opinion!
I am a huge Hitchcock fan, Vertigo is my favourite, alongside North by Northwest.
Hi Eman, yes a Mad Max reboot - apparently Max is really, really cross this time, not just 'mad' like he was before. A bit like me when I lose the TV remote.
Tom Hardy to play the very upset Max.

Did anyone watch the end of The Walking Dead? I really don't like the show but feel I have to watch to see what happens. Season 2 was very disappointing and never really got anywhere, I also did not understand some scenes especially with what happened to Sean, he took this young lad into the woods (they had been deciding whether or not to let him live) the guy walked past a tree followed by Sean and they both went out of camera range, there was a groan. Sean walked back and smashed his head into a tree, what was all that about? For a policeman he acted very strange and had quite a temper. He then seemed to turn into a zombie at the end and they shot him, what happened to make him into a zombie?
Not a show to watch on a full stomach, I can assure you!!!

Hmmm..sounds like Mad Max needs a course in anger management Gray!
Maybe it will be worth checking out. About the remote, I feel ya on that one. Hey I guess we are spoiled these days, but do you remember actually getting up to change the channel? LOL!!

Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
I'd be more interested in seeing it if it was called Very Upset Max.Gray wrote:Vertigo is brilliant, in my humble opinion!

There is something mesmerising about Vertigo, especially the scenes of James Stewart tailing Kim Novak around San Francisco.

Re: What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?
Talking about getting up to change the channels-who remembers having to get up and move the topset ariel to get a better picture--only to sit down and find it was stll not right---and who remembers when the picture would revolve over and over--my dad would have to go to the back of the tv, and adjust it till we told him it was Ok again ? Who remembers only having 1 channel ???? At least there was never an argument over what to see ? And who remembers when TV programmes started halfway through the morning--and stopped in the afternoon---and closed down about 10.00 at night ??
