I just read that the former broadcaster Derek Jameson has passed away aged 82. I remember him well on BBC Radio 2 in the eighties on his programme.

I remember him very well too--I believe his style was quite unusual to start with, But once we got used to him, George and I listened every morning---he also did some programmes with his wife too--then they both seemed to vanish off the airwaves.

Apparently he died of a heart attack. R.I.P. Derek Jameson.

Sad to hear that Derek Jameson has died. Like our Matt he was another Eastend boy brought up in impoverished circumstances and made good.

I knew Derek when he recorded his show from BBC Scotland studios in Glasgow. I photographed him in the studio one night and he so kindly made them into his Christmas cards (500 copies) that year with my moniker included. God Bless Derek. A very kind and lovely human being. Derek Jameson R.I.P
