meeting a filipino

Post by len & freda » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:41 am

Just a little something to bring a smile to faces.

Visiting Len in hospital last night, the person serving the meals was a filipino, from Manila, so I asked him if he had ever seen one young Matt,s shows but apparently he had been in England a while.

He said he absolutely adored Matt Snr,s music he the went on to sayMatt was a american, singer, which we soon put him right on. The funny thing was he went waltzing off down the corridor singing "Born Free" and whenever we saw him after he would start singing a Matt Monro song.

Hoping Len will come home today (fingers crossed)

Fetched Len home from the hospital this afternoon, he was overwhelmed by all the best wishes left on the forum.

Just got to build him a bit as the food was not very hot or appetising in the hospital. Thanks again

So good to hear that Len has returned home. I hope you continue to feel better, Len, my birthday-mate. :)
