Sorry Gray for your loss--any time is a bad time to lose someone, I know.

I never knew any of my grandparents, as they all died before I was even born, so I always envy anyone who got to know their grandparents.

Thanks very much everyone, for your kind words.
I was very close to my Nan, I will miss her so much.

I read the Don Black autobiography just before Xmas, Robert.
There was a lovely picture of Matt & Gordon MacRae in it.
Two of my favourite male singers!
I never knew that Matt & Mr MacRae met so that was a real treat for me!

A bit of trivia regarding Carousel that you may already know, the film was a flop, but the soundtrack recording a smash hit!

I can't believe Carousel was a flop at the Cinemas Gray

Yes, I have seen that lovely photo of Matt and Gordon in Don Black's book Wrestling with Elephants, but.....................I did not like reading certain passages in the book, regarding what Mr Black had to say about Matt

Yes Lena and Harry, I was surprised when I read the sleeve notes on the cd album that it was written by Bill Owen. It is a great song, but then again Ronnie Hilton recorded some lovely songs. :D
