Hi Gray,
Usually Filipino films are full of heavy drama but let me check for some of my personal favourites and I'll let you know. Some of their horror ones really creep me out, but you'd have to be familiar with some of the legends to get the meaning of it.

Watched a film starring Dirk Bogarde last night called, 'Our Mother's House'.
A strange movie, I thought, directed by Jack Clayton, a bit supernatural, a bit creepy, but not enough of either.
It was made in '66 I think.

Gray, I saw that one years ago and though it was a little creepy but not creepy enough to make you really scared. Kinda like having a nibble on something but not the whole thing.

Hairspray (I saw the stage show with Michael Ball in London then bought the movie on dvd), The music is so catchy - You Can't Stop The Beat makes you want to get up and dance!

Did you watch the 80's version with Rikki Lake or the 2000's with Zak Effron and John Travolta, Karl. Yet the question is did you get up and dance. I'd love to see that!! :D

It was the John Travolta version, but no I didn't get up and dance. But that reminds me years ago at an office party I danced with one of my colleagues (she was older than me), we jived and she said and I quote "I Never Knew You Could Dance Like That, That's The Best Dance I've Had All Night". That was a good compliment! :D

Watched a film called "Tortured" the other night, a good film but rather gruesome.

Just watched an old film I had recorded called TILL THE END OF TIME .Quite good but typical story about the lives of 3 GI's returning from World War 2 and struggling to settle down.
The best part of the film was the haunting theme tune played throughout.
It had me scurrying to my CD collection to find Matts version of the song which I have now played several times- beautiful :D

John I just checked that out, Laurence Fishburne stars is that right? He's a good actor.

Karl, no this is a different film, sorry, my mistake, it is called The Tortured, and not Tortured. :)
