Thanks everyone-I have not been out since Saturday dosing myself up--Lemsips, paracetomol, honey, whiskey--the usual--and I am feeling better, at least I can talk now, and I am hoping to be well enough to go to my lovely "Hobbies" group tomorrow--plus maybe a little shopping this afternoon.

Yes, i did get into town, although we were diverted due to road resurafcing-but it was worth it, as we saw a beautiful, sunset right in front of us, on the way back.

It's early for us all to be going down with colds. I always think the aftermath is worse as that's when the catarrh sets in. I am rid of the catarrh now after taking a cold two and a half weeks ago.

I sometimes get left with an irritating cough--but not so far this time, thankfully.

Just listening to Don playing Matt's fabulous....Let There Be Love.
Don commented on the unforgettable and still remembered singers of our era, compared with singers of today. He said they are probably good singers but who are they....Well with the vast fortunes some of them are earning today in such a short space of time maybe being remembered in decades to come isn't important.
Listening now to Johnny Mathis singing " Isn't it a pity. :) Are you still with us Marian. ?:D :D :D

I heard Matt--but missed about 3/4 of the show, so did not hear JM sing "Isn't it a Pity"--this comes from my favourite album, which happens to be the first JM album, I bought, called "Rhythms and Ballads of Broadway"--which goes back to the 1950's. It was also the 2nd ever album I bought after "Carousel"---this was when I managed to get a Saturday job in Woolworths , and had my own money for the first time ever.

Tuned in to Don, and listening to Matt at his very best... My Love And Devotion. No one can compete with this.
Arranged by Johnnie Spence, what a combination. Brilliant :D
