Don played Matt's stunning ..."Somewhere" tonight. Those of us who attended the Matt Monro fan club at one of the Two meet-ups at the Beck Theatre will remember the moment when Michele showed a large screen with Matt singing this song.
After Matt's awesome final note, there was a deafening silence and not a dry eye in the house. An unforgettable moment.
And now we have Dusty singing "Yesterday When I was Young." Are you tuned in Karl ?
Now Don is playing Julie Rogers... Dons Sister-In-Law's very nice recording of Young and Foolish . I've always liked this song and like many remember Julie Rogers hit record "The Wedding". Don mentioned that Julie has recorded a new CD, and she's singing better than ever, so anyone who likes Julie Rogers that's one to look out for.
A great finish to the programme... Frank Sinatra... " It Never Entered My Mind ". LOVELY . !! :) :)

I missed every second last night-I might try and catch up on my mobile or tablet. More comfy than in my computer room.
I love "It never entered my mind" great song, but i cannot recall hearing Frank sing it. I love Jack jones version.

Yes,of course i remember Matt singing "Somewhere" at the Fan club Reunited. Just pure Magic ! Like the whole of all the meetings we had, special times !!

It was lovely to hear Matt singing " Somewhere" on Don's show on Sunday and he said that was the best version of the song, which is very very true.

Marian(a) Frank Sinatra sings It Never entered My Mind on his Capitol album In The Wee Small Hours.

L&H I didn't heard Don Black play Dusty singing Yesterday When I Was Young but good for him as that's a rare Dusty track to be played on radio, I think the BBC are unaware that Dusty did make records afrer the 60's, the only later one's I hear from time to timem are the records she made with the Pet Shop Boys.

I never remember to listen to Don Black. Infact I rarely have the radio on at that time.
