Thoughts with the poor Korean family's

Post by maxine » Thu Apr 17, 2014 12:05 pm

Just wanted to mention the another terrible tragedy in the seas...that of the Korean students and others in the Yellow Sea.... The captain has said he is deeply sorry and very ashamed of not organising the escape properly ......didn't want to bring the forum on a downer this holiday weekend but I couldn't ignore it ...children involved and 300 at least missing .....
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

I hadn't heard about this Maxine, there is always a tragedy at a holiday period.

Seems the Captain jumped ship early  just like the Captain of the Concordia in Italy did :!:

My neighbour told me the teacher of the children took his own life as he was so ashamed. I have been trying to avoid bad news as much as possible and haven't seen any coverage of this at all.

Just an awful tragedy, especially when it appears that many more could have been saved, but they were told not to move. Only the ones who disobeyed were saved,

It now seems that the third mate who had never steered in that area before was in charge of the boat at the time
