Mint Audio Records

Post by Rmoore » Thu Oct 30, 2014 12:29 am

Hi guys,

As you may have heard I have just started a record label. It will take a while to grow and hopefully will include some new Matt Monro products in due course. My first release is also the first in collaboration with US company Voicemasters.

I hope to go live in the next couple of days but my Amazon listing is already up.

Would any of you be willing to review the disc on Amazon for me? If so I can send you a link to an MP3 so you can hear it. - Just send me a private message

Details here.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Guys

The website for my new label is here:-

www.mint-audio.co.uk

Sorry that the Matt Monro titles isn't currently available. Michele has all the stock (It was initially made as an exclusive for her cruise ship talks), but due to the building work she is having done it's in storage and she can't get to it!

I'm hoping to put something special and never heard before together for all Matt fans soon. - Of course you will hear about it here first!

Richard

Are there some extra tracks on this new version of Live In Australia?

Now you have got your own record label set up does that give you the chance to re-release any of Matt's existing albums, including the recently deleted ones? Or does the licensing of the tracks make that too expensive?

The new version has two extra tracks yes,

We're Gonna Change The World and Yesterday from a 1981 Australian concert although the quality is not as good as the rest of the disc.

Licensing costs would most certainly be prohibitive at the moment especially as the sets would have to be licensed from both Warner and Universal. Who knows, if the label takes off i may be able to start licensing but we'll have to see.

Maybe one day Eman. I'm only a little acorn at the moment and to press heavyweight vinyl is expensive, so it would have to be something that would sell A LOT. Unfortunately I don't have the fund to do so at the moment, but never say never!
