JACK JONES 2015 TOUR

Post by Marian » Tue Dec 02, 2014 6:50 pm

The list is now released for Jack's 2015 tour, named 'The Coming Home Tour.'
The list can be accessed on his website, but Karl, you might be interested to hear that the closing night will be at The King's Theatre Edinburgh, on 17th May. He is also playing Glasgow and Perth in Scotland.

Wow thanks for that Marian, May is a busy month - the previous night I will be down in Stoke for The Jackie Trent Story and I am also going to miss Lulu's tour because of that. I hope I get a fast train back to see Jack.

I thought Jackie had his farewell tour here? Anyway I'm not complaining and the King's theatre is one of my favourites. In the past I have seen Jackie, Lulu, VInce Hill and Madeline Bell there to name a few - also Cilla Black.

Rita Coolidge? Wow! But I wonder why he's gone back to a support act when he did the last tour solo.

I don't know if she will be doing every venue, but I should think she will share the stage with Jack and not just do the first half. I suppose doing a long tour and being two years older, he feels another person on stage will be beneficial. Jack has often asked if we would like someone else with him on tour. We've always said we'd prefer him to do the whole show though. I'm looking forward to seeing Rita Coolidge this time, she has a lovely voice. :D
One year he had his friend Bob Anderson as a guest star, he was wonderful, a very talented impressionist and singer

OH don't tell me Marian I only booked on Tuesday and Rita Coolidge was also on the poster at the box office.

Marian I am wondering why it's been postponed when it's still a long way off , also I checked the Kings theatre website and there is now no mention of him and yet the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow is still booking - something strange!

Hope he gets to do the tour later, or a lot of disappointed fans.

The tour has definitely been postponed, Jack's wife Eleonora has to undergo unforeseen urgent surgery. Jack is very apologetic but he has to be with her. Hopefully the tour will take place the same time and the same venues next year.

Thanks for the explanation Marian, I did wonder when May is still a long way off.

You think the tour will now be next year, that's a pity we have to wait so long, anyway I hope his wife makes a good recovery.

P.S. Just called the theatre you have more information than them Marian as they still think it's postponed but no doubt when it is cancelled they will contact me as they have my details online.

I was just about to transfer it here Karl, but some other members might like to see it too, so here it is.... :D

Dear friends and family in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Germany:

My wife Eleonora is going in for an urgent, unforeseen surgical procedure and I am obviously needed here.

It breaks our hearts to have to postpone the tour and this time we were headed to Aberdare, the birthplace of my Grandfather-Daniel H. Jones, as one of our stops(hence the "coming home" tour). I had just completed an entirely new show and was looking so forward to doing it for you all. It seems the rescheduling will be for the same time next year.

Eleonora will be fine, thanks to the wonderful and alert doctors we are working with. She is so very grateful for your emails and FB posts!!

We are deeply grateful to all the venues for being so understanding and to Robert Pratt for his kindness!

Summer is soon approaching, and may you all enjoy it with good health!

Love,

JJ

Although the tour has been unavoidably postponed, at least Jack has sent an explanatory and personal message to all the fans.
We wish his wife Eleonora well and Jack too.
