Thanks Paul-I guessed you would put us straight on that--it does explain why there are so many votes in US.

The voting costs on any of our phone in shows are usually at least £1.00 each time--although some of that money usually goes to charity. I have never phoned through, basically, because my phone line will not allow me--which is just as well, as it would be too easy to run up a huge phone bill.

I just checked out the cost of voting for BGT, and it was 50p per call, with 15p going to Charity, but calls cost more from a Mobile phone--but the lines were only open for 20 minutes--maybe less!!.

JJ appears on the Jerry Lewis Telethon every year, and I believe they are always Toll Free numbers for the public to call in.

We went over a Toll Bridge yesterday - 5p!

It looks like Paula Abdul's contract on American Idol isn't going to be renewed, but she is getting lots of support from fans who want her to stay on the show.

I'm very upset that Paula won't be on next year. She had the most accurate comments regarding the performances this year. Kara was okay, but she has no chemistry with Randy or Simon. I think this could be the beginning of the end of American Idol.

The show is called "So you think you can dance"--totally different to "Dancing with the stars".

It is more like an "American Idol" but for5 dancers--similar format--auditions , judges, then the last 20, and the voting off every week. It is hosted by Cat Deeley, who is doing well in US.

I should think Paula will do well on that, as she does a lot about dancing etc, and she is accustomed to judging. But I cannot see her trying to flirt with Nigel Lythgoe !!!

I liked watchng it, but it has not been on Uk tv, for some time.

I think Nigel Lythgoe might be a tad old for Paula Marian, the Nigel Lythgoe Dancers were on Jack's early BBC TV Shows from the early sixties. At least he has the experience to be a judge of dance.
