BEACH BOYS in concert ..I am blown away

Hi lovlies ...hope,you all well ...I just had to share with my forum friends that last night ..Peter and I had the absolute privilege ...(and make no mistake that with this Group ..that is what it is in my humble opinion ) of seeing The Beach Boys ...I honestly was blown away Peter and I both were ....I could wax lyrical about how wonderful it was ...it was not a concert in my eyes ...it was an experience ...beautiful beautiful voices and music .....and of course you can imagine the nostalgic signicance of it all ...A large screen in the back ground of all the years of I assume some of their most favourite footage ...I was actually very teary watching it all...I promise you they live up to their Legend status ...even without having Brian Wilson with them ( we see him in September ..my bucket list request lol anniversary present) ..I can almost describe their voices as Angelic ....they paid tribute to George Harrison who was a friend of theirs and Christopher Cross who sang the gorgeous Arthur's Theme..sang only with them and their songs as he is a friend too ...and for their ages they can rock too ...bless them...God Only Knows was portrayed with a back drop of the late Karl Wilson singing it ....and beautiful as you can imagine anyway ...
I was just so emotional about the whole experience ...( wish we had done the meet and greet ) ...and they do not charge extortionate amount for tickets ..about 50 pounds top whack...love them always have and definalty taken on a different dimension ...we will always remember this beautiful spectacle ...

They are in Brighton this week and Cardiff I think ....if they come back next year near you ...just go ...lol ...Legends with a capital L ...

Woo hoo Maxine, glad you enjoyed The Beach Boys. I was playing them this morning as Summer isn't Summer for me without listening to them. I was even so inclined to play hooky from work and go surfing!!

The Beach Boys were appearing in LAs Vegas the first time I was there and some of our party saw them and raved about them, I don't think I realised they were on as we took our tour manager's tip and booked to see "Splash" - bit mistake it was dreadful and so loud.
Never been an avid Beach Boys fan but I love most of their hits and have some cd's

Oh Karl ...never mind ...I promise you they were amazing and deserved the rave review .....the songs have taken in a different dimension for us ...these gents are not spring chickens ...just genius performers ...beautiful beautiful voices and music ...God Only Knows ...of,course such a beautiful song ..I have read a few reviews with the same sort of view as us and some have said they didn't expect to so impressed etc and ...very moved by the whole evening ..when you hear their records just know that they sound so fab and so professional in real life and they work so hard ...they deserve the respect that the years have bestowed on them undoubtedly ;0) ..
