Pleased to know Karl you can now record Don's show. We think this current series has only three weeks to go before the end so you will be able to enjoy them at yor leisure. He will hopefully be back later in the year ☺

You are right Christine. Don did play Laura in January. It's such a beautiful song sung by "Matchless Matt" ☺

Don usually sticks to the same songs each series apart from an odd exception ……….I've mentioned it umpteen times on here that there are hundreds of tracks he hasn't touched ………..still waiting for Pretty Polly too

His show must be boringly predictable then if he sticks to the same songs each series, with the amount of records available at the BBC he can surely ring the changes!

Or he can buy or order a few Matt CDs to find some different Matt songs to the ones he usually plays each series

We enjoyed Don's show again.

He played some very nice songs especially Matt. We liked his comment that Matt's breath control was so superb that he wondered if he had three lungs!!! ☺☺☺

Yes Maureen and Harry that was a good comment to make but he has said it before...…...but I suppose it is hard to find new things to say all the time  :)

They have scriptwriters for that though Robert, what between playing the same records and saying the same thing I'd have given up on him long ago !

On his penultimate show of the series Don played "Matchless Matt" singing I Will Wait For You :) ............…Don played a variety of songs including songs by Billy Eckstine, Louis Armstrong and Kitty Kallen singing "Little Things Mean a Lot" …........Don said she passed away two years ago aged 94 but it was three years ago now.
