Just found out Dons show has been on Radio 2 for the past week or two...………...but I know last weeks was a repeat from 2019 so I assume tonight's will also be a repeat too...………….his new series should be due in early July but with Don being laid low by the virus it may be delayed

I didn't know he was on Sandra......I only check the Radio 2 listings when Don is due to come back for a new series...……..I wonder why they are repeating old programmes from Don as his new series wasn't due until early to middle of July...…..maybe the show they had on at 11.0 pm was a load of rubbish so brought some Don Black repeats programmes in it's place  :)

Thanks for the info Christine...…...seems a bit odd of Radio 2 to continue with Dons programme straight after his last series ended...... and not have anything lined up to replace it

Sad news.........this is Dons final series............Don spent nine days in hospital with coronavirus even though he had been self isolating..............tonight's show was really entertaining.............he played the lovely Jerry Vale song You Don't Know Me ............Don played this song from his "favourite singer matchless Matt" I Get Along Without You Very Well which is one of Matts greatest recordings........but, Don went straight back to the very often used Hoagy Carmichael album.........I'm sure that is the only album he has of Matts !! .............so no more of Dons shows to look forward to after this series and no more Matts songs to look forward to hearing too ...........I record all of Dons shows so I'm going to keep them all this series instead of deleting them :)

Such a shame it's Don's last series no more Matt songs...it's the only show you can rely on for a Matt song.

Robert should take over the show and prove to Don that Matt has more albums than the Hoagy Carmichael one.

They would take me off air after a couple of weeks Karl, because I would be playing mainly Matt songs for the full hour  :)

Ah but you could mix it with Meatloaf as you like him and also a little Dusty!
