When Caligula came out in the 70's, I and others walked out of the cinema in disgust

I think Play.com was more than HMV-I checked quite a few sites and HMV definately best at present.

Mark, tastes have changed since the 70's, so maybe these days the film will not be as shocking as then :) .............please let us know what you think, after viewing the film :)

I watched The Changeling yesterday, a 2008 film directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Angelina Jolie. I mistakenly thought it would be a nice "woman's film" with a happy ending, but no way!
It turned out to be a true story of mass murder, and corruption in the Los Angeles Police Force in the late twenties/early thirties. :o

The DVD set is 12 hours but I agree with your first thought,I was in Paris when it was first released and avoided seeing it then despite friends going.
I have watched 'JULIUS CAESAR'originally on TV(I think).a bit overlong-next week I may start on'CALIGULA'but after your posting I rather hesitated. I'll let you know.

Hi All

I saw a 'cut' version of Caligula many years ago - it still made be blush and I didn't watch the whole film, I thought it was too wierd.

I would be very interested to know how it spans 4x discs please, Mark.
I know it's a long film and it's been released in my different versions, so maybe each disc contains a different version?

There was a very strong version of the film, but I doubt that will be on the 4x disc set that you have bought, Mark
Therefore, I would be interested to know what the 4x discs contain, please.

Thank you!

Robert,

Whilst I've got you, can I ask a question please?
Can you tell me why you paid to see Caligual at the flicks and then walk out?
I'm not being funny, I am interested to know more about your reaction to a movie.

Thank you!
