8 shows a week is 2 more than any other star does, or so I am told by my friend the producer! Golly- I was breaking into a Ronnie Crobett sketch there! The contract was supposed to be for 6 shows a week with Emma doing the other 2.
Of course Connie is the most famous now, and as we have already said, all this publicity about tantrums and divas is good publicity! Connie is such a naturally enthusiastic person - kind of like Bonnie Langford but without the annoying voice! She is going to shine I am sure

Here I go again, I hear those trumpets blow again.......

hello everyone
No not all 6 are ours! I'm a childminder for 4 and we have two beautiful daughters Holly and Cate.
We should update the photo really and put them on. Cate was 2 at the weekend and we had a party for her yesterday for 14 children! Holly is 4 and starts school in January so I'm trying to treasure everyday.
I didn't see the Weber interview on the BBC but heard about it on the radio so thanks for the update Lena and Harry. I wonder what the others will be doing?
Must go start work at 7.30am!

Hi Amanda, you are obviously a great Mum to Holly and Cate, and it takes a special kind of person to be a childminder, added to that a great deal of patience.
Andrew Lloyd Webber said on the Breakfast tv that both Siobhan and Abi have now got recording contracts and Helena has her first starring role as "Gypsy Rose Lee "at the Wales Millenium Centre as part of the Cardiff International Festival.
As far as we know (may be wrong ) this is a one night show but what a place to start.
Haven't heard anything more about the other girls.

Hello to all my new pc friends...
Lena and Harry your thoughts made my day, I have had a really bad day today so they picked me up! Thanks for the info about the girls - fascinating stuff. Did you say that Abi had something too?
Robert don't worry about gray he's off for a singing lesson tonight and he's also hooked on this forum as well as his new Godfather playstaion game. He keeps wondering upstairs to play on it!
Must go bathtime and book time but most importantly time to put my feet up time (more like attack a pile of ironing). No rest for the wicked
Love to you all

Oh Amanda--that is quite funny. I am fine-I have been away for a few days catching up with 3 Johnny Mathis concerts, that I have managed to post in the "Other Favourite singer " slot---but while I was away I managed to pop into the forum twice using the hotel internet connection---so I have been posting loads--just not under this thread.
But thanks for missing me!
Marian

Hi Amanda, sorry that you'd had a bad day. some days do seem worse
than others. Just try and take it easy, (easier said huh)
Well Gray's at his singing lesson. Is it practice for when he's on the terraces.
Anyway Gray's another one for the choir at the Fans Meet.
Haven't heard anything about the other girls from HDYSAPLM Amanda but will let you know if we do.

Hope you're cold's better Amanda, maybe a dram of whisky may be more beneficial in preference to the wine, or maybe after the wine
We have one son, and as all know, once a Mum always a Mum, often Dads as well though, but unlike Marian we have no pets.
The show with Helena from HDYSAPLM October 29th, at the Cardiff Millenium Centre Gypsy Rose Lee, we see is to be preceded with talks and discussions and film clips about the work of composer and producer Jules Styne.
Experts from the field of musical theatre from both sides of the Atlantic will be on the panel and this event will be hosted by Lyricist Don Black.
Jules Styne was born in London and at the age of Eight moved with his parents to Chicago.
He met, compose and collaborated with the great lyricist Sammy Cahn.

It would be nice if it was Marian but the connection is...that the music from Gypsy Rose Lee was Jules Stynes and the lyrics were by Steven Sonheim.
This story is of course about the stripper, Gypsy Rose who had the pushy stage mother and those songs " Let Me Entertain You" and "Everything's Coming Up Roses". (Crikey we can hear Ethel Merman belting that one out) she was in the original production in the Fifties.
This one nighter could be the start of something really big for Helena, maybe as much as Connies part as Maria
