I think you might mean Karma Chameleon Lena! Too many sherries last night??
Our daughter used to like Jon Moss who played drums with Boy George, and they did have some catchy songs, better than her other favourite Morrisey, anyway!!!!!!!!! :x

Yes, the brain has been dulled by over indulgence Marian, and the Marks and Spencers Puff pastry mince pies didn't help.
They should have included a hammer and chisel in the box.
Anyone else have these. :) :)

I guess that is one thing good about being unwell at Christms---I just could not fancy Mince pies, or Christmas cake--in fact I found it hard to eat anything apart from plain biscuits and toast for 10 days !!!!! The only thing that I loved was Sainsburys Apple and Williams pear juice--it went down like Nectar.

Sainsbury's hit-the-spot twice over. Icing-topped mince pies which, though sounding toot-sweet , were actually a big fave
at Cooper Acres - not too deeply-filled.(as opposed to Moi and my tipples of Madeira )
Then the peece du reesistonce, I quote from le packaging " Mini mince pies All butter pastry filled with sweet fruity mincemeat & a dash of brandy...it's Christmas in a pie." They came in oven-ready mini-trays too. Roy Wood, how right you and the kids-choir were! :)

Don

Sandra. Mince pies / miicrowave ? Was your mouth out with Brandy Sauce, Madam! :D
Matt : Smooth, but not Glossy...

Sorry to hear you are still not well Marian. Hope you get well soon.
We have some of the iced top mince pies from Sainsbury's Don. Haven't tried them yet, but good to hear you vote in their favour, or should that be flavour!

Sandra .last year M & S had frozen puff pastry mince pies that were delicious.
I reckon the unsold ones have been defrosted and put in boxes for this year.
In fact I think they were the boxes :) :)
So Vic didn't help then Marian. Get well soon anyway.

So sorry to hear you're sick Marian and that it will last for another 3 weeks. I hope you feel better soon.

The TV is not much better here. NY Eve was terrible and now it is college football for the next week. I am watching the DVDs you all have sent me --- and cleaning --- my place has never been so clean.

I don't know if you've had to suffer through all the TV recaps of the top 10 messiest divorces, the top 10 persons behaving badly, costliest celebrity splits, and other such nonsense. We're getting it not just for 2009, but for the entire decade!

Yes Paul, practically every programme has that R in brackets, and the reminders of the past year, of the dismal news and who has died etc.
" Are you Being Served " was served up in force last night with the biggest reminder of how many in that series had passed on.
Good job we have some things to cheer us up very soon, with Matt's goodies. :)

Sorry to hear you're not well, Marian. Get well soon. It should be a great year for us Matt fans.

Boy George was on Jools Holland's Hootenany on New Year's Eve and looked rather overweight, and his voice didn't sound much better either. As you probably know, he was prevented from appearing on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother by a judge becuase he is still out on licence from his prison sentence and lost the chance of a £400,000 fee as a result. He must be feeling gutted (though I read he wasn't that bothered).

Thanks Jon for your concern--still not feeling right--these things take time.

I was a shame that Boy George could not be on Celebrity Big Brother--apart from Stephanie Beauchamp, I did not recognise any of the other "Celebrities"--In just switched on to see who they all were--but that will be my last time !!!!
