It is not a new show as such--just new to Uk-I have been watching the show in US for several years, and really enjoyed it.

Nigel was also a judge in US, as someimes was Brian Friedman [x factors choreographer]. Plus a very excitable lady called Mary Murphy-but I am guessing she is not in the Uk show. Cat Deeley hosted in Us, and was so popular , she is also hosting in Uk.

A lot will depend on the quality of dancers appearing, and the dancing that they pull out of the hat. And I am guessing they will do a similar format as the US show--which in itself is similar to x .factor format---auditions first--then narrowed down to maybe the last 12 or so, then 1 voted off each week.

Starts on 2nd January.

I do not think she dropped out of Strictly to be on this show--rather the otheer way round--when she was dropped from Strictly , they approached her about the show--as far as I know !

The third judge is Louise Redknapp---but that could change as it will be a "rolling" judge.

On first showing I did not think the dancers were as good overall as in the US version.

And to my surprise I found myself preferring the one on Sunday with Davina--which I had not expected to like--it just seemed to have more of a human touch---although I thought Davina made a big big mistake, after the first act was voted out, by running on stage to plead for him to stay--he was not even that good !!

Also I quite like the judges-Adam. Kim, and Ashley.

American Idol back on our screens on Wednesday---ITV 2--I have already forgot last years winner, who I thought was very ordinary--but I have heard a lot of Adam Lambert who came 2nd--and both me and my sister was sure would win. !!!

I missed this too but must catch up. Talking of Davina though, she drives me nuts at the best of times

Yes Davina can be OTT at times---but at the moment she is not too bad-apart from that one occasion.

Watched most of the show for the first time tonight, just missed the first couple and thought the last couple to dance were the best, Charlie and Tommy. :)
