(Wish it was my) iPod

Proof that exercise is beneficial... Walked into Brum City Centre this afternoon . Spotted very classy iPod/Radio in window of very
classy Hi-Fi Retailer. The RDS Radio display read: BBC Radio Two- Song Playing- Walk Away - Matt Monro :)

Don
Matt : Smooth, but not Glossy...

Just listened to Howard Leader on Sundays BBC Radio Lincolnshire programme
3-5.The first half is big band swing and the last hour is music of the 50's and early 60's.
We had our Matt request played near the end of the second half.
We had asked for 'Prisoner of Love' which he played.
Thankyou Howard :D :D

We had e.mailed every Radio 2 programme who we thought would remember Matt on the special day of February 7th,don't know if anybody else did the same?

Of course David came through for us as did Elaine Paige and Michael Ball.
We were surprised that nothing was played by Steve Wright or Paul O Grady :(

Hi John

Is that the same Craig Douglas who sang "Pretty Blue Eyes"? I've been listening to that song on a 60s compilation I bought and quite enjoy it. I've also been listening to "Good Timin'" by Jimmy Jones, which has really grabbed me. The old ones are the best, as they say...

Hi Jon
Yes, it is the very same Craig Douglas. It is a good album, and has all his hits includng "Only Sixteen" and "Pretty Blue Eyes", plus plenty of good cover versions as well. :) I have started listening to a few of these singers from the late fifties to mid sixties, John Leyton is another.

The only song I remember from John Leyton was "Johnny remember me". I always like Craig Douglas--especially "Only 16".

I like the new photo John--this one actually looks like you.

We were big fans of Craig Douglas and John Leyton too :)

Listening to a CD that has been reissued at long last -

'Frank Sinatra Sings Great Songs From Great Britain'.
His 'London By Night' is superb :D
