I tried the Covonia--it did not help !!

BOOTS HERBAL COUGH MEDICINE----the only medicine that ever helped me in the past--now discontinued!!!!!!

Pam-try the cider vinegar and honey--it really soothed my throat, and because theres no drugs you can take it as often as you like---just mix one tablespoonful of vinegar with 2 of honey, mix--and just take a spponful when ever your throat feels bad--and tastes quite nice too.

Another cough medicine that suddenly appeared and was absolutely vile, but guaranteed to cure a cough was called LIQUIFRUITA. ughhhh you needed a dose of chloroform to take this down, before the spoonful of sugar

My local health shop sold me a bottle of

PINE AND HONEY -

for my cough--not quite as bad as it sounded-helped by the honey, no doubt.

I've run out of cough medicines--but

OLBAS OIL helped me to breathe--inhaled in hot water.

We always called them daps in Wales.

When we had chesty coughs as youngsters we were told to put our heads out of the window of a train in a tunnel and this would help!!!!
Where were health and safety then?!!

We also remember it was recommended to stand by the stamrollers and breath in the tar that they were using to tarmac the roads.
What with that and putting our heads out of train windows, it's no wonder our generation are called The Survivors. :D :D
