URGENT PRAYERS REQUIRED

Post by Michele Monro » Wed Dec 20, 2006 10:30 am

One of our members Mark has been having a rather hard time of late. His 23 year old son, Luke, has been in the most horrific car crash, all limbs broken, broken sturnum, lower lung portions collapsed, tears to his liver and kidney and both hands need surgery. After sugery he will need extensive plastic surgery.

Thank God he is now out of his coma and memories of the injury are intact so thankfully there is no brain injury but needless to say a few prayers are neeed.

Pease let him know you are thinking of him

Thanks Michele for informing us of that sad news.

Let us all pray that as Luke is a young man still, that he recovers from his injuries quickly.

I will email Mark as you suggested with a short message.

So sorry to hear this sad news, but as Luke is young and strong, hopefully he will come through this most difficult time.
Luke, Mark and their family, will be in our thoughts and prayers this Christmastime.

Marian.

Hi to all,
Thank you all for your thoughts, my wife Helen and I are overwhelmed at how many people took time out to send those messages, and if your intentions were to stir up some emotions, you achieved your goal as I am doing well to hold back the tears.

I guess our plight was made somewhat worse in that we have only just moved into our new home, that would be our 101 year old home we are in the middle of renovating it, and we know very few people in the town. That said while my wife has been 160 kilometres away in Perth, 5 kilometres from my son's hospital ward, I have been here looking after my 14 year old daughter, her horse and other stock. One of us had to stay behind so I only get to go to Perth once or twice a week. I have been somewhat isolated and left alone with my thoughts, which is not always a good thing.

The mail I have received from Michele and now all of you is terrific. It is also very refreshing to hear from people who care and with no other bond than Matt's website, it really does restore one's faith in mankind or at least some of them.

Thank you all so very much. Luke has suprised everyone at the hospital in that so far he is keeping his left leg and has come out of his coma memory intact. The chopper squad that brought him in to the hospital are amazed he is still with us.

I'd like to thank you all for your support, it has meant a lot.
Mark

Wasn't that kind of Mark to take the time and trouble to write back to thank us all. So pleased to hear Luke appears to be doing well.
All good wishes to his family over Christmas time and for the New Year.

and ...What are you doing in your office on Christmas Eve Michele??

Marian.
