We were shocked at this result and although Chris has improved he wasn't in the same class as Ali. He wasn't to blame of course
I have been looking at the BBC messages and reading the peoples views of this outcome and they have expressed their disbelief and most have said that they will not be watching the final.

It seems a travesty to me that someone can get 5 perfect 10's , and get knocked out by someone who was not 1 -not 2--but 12 points behind. If there had been a dance-off, like normal, I am sure that Ali and Brian would have sailed through. I think the BBC needs to look at their method of marking, and if one of the dancers is a long way behind, as last night, then the scoring should not be so close as just 3 2 1 .

Yes, the voting is a joke and needs a re-think Some have said that the show is to entertain. Yes, Chris and Ola did entertain, but were never really in the reckoning for the final, but it's now become a personality contest. It's meant to be a dancing competition, and it's what holds the viewers week after week, when we decide and choose our personal favourites and watch their progress, but this was a blatant farce and unfair to Ali and Brian when training and practicing Seven days a week to reach their dancing standard has proved to be pointless.
Next week could have been a terrific final, but they've blown it.

Yes Robert, he is. John Hollins played for Chelsea and England and was with Chelsea when they won the FA cup in 1970.

I knew you had the same'insider'information as I had.
Does anyone really believe that with all the expenditure that the organisers of shows like 'BIG BROTHER',CELEBRITY -whatever it is?,'X'FACTOR' etc.,are going to leave such a decision to a random public vote! Even voting on past'BLUE PETER'shows was rigged.

I think this was the best final ever. My personal favourites were Chris & Ola and I'm glad they won but having said that Ricky and Natalie were fantastic dancers and were the judges favourites to win.

Maybe next year they could have a trophy for the best personality dancer and one just for the best dancer (and if they were really good they could win both!) and that would perhaps be more acceptable to the voting public as it must have been very close. Just an idea!

I have heard a rumour that Arlene is coming back next year - has anyone else heard about it as I must admit it was news to me.

So make the most of the next ten months Mark when the TV will be a SCD free zone!

Wishing you all a merry christmas and a very happy new year.

I didn't say I didn't like the show-we were due in the audience to see the final, but the weather here in the North was the'?'Factor. The days are long gone when I loved to walk/drive in the snow!
Incidentally,I think Bruce was really good this time-he seems to have really got the hang of it.
The whole series just went on a bit too long, maybe fewer contestants.
LONG MAY IT CONTINUE! :D
