I normally only congratulate at the 500 scores--apart from a few exceptions--this being one---you have reached this score so quickly--and at the same time entertain and educate us--so a very well done from me too.

Wow! Thanks Marian, I've often hankered :D
after a poet's residency and where better than
this website? A few appropriate lines are called
for, I think:

THE POET

Is a mere conduit,
the chosen one to do it;
an intermediary through whom
meaningful lines appear
from God knows where ...

Thanks Lena & Harry, and Marian)a.
Here's one for the fifty-somethings:

POEM

To me the word has always meant
emotional reaction;
first one's heartstrings are tugged,
then one launches into
the aerial liberty of literary action,
and afterwards wallows in the warmth
of soul-deep satisfaction.

Keith

PS Thanks to you too John;
it's amazing how the tempus (and the posts)
can really fugit.

"Tempus Fugit" was always one of George's favourite sayings -- "Time Flies"

Also "In Vino Veritas"---basically when you have had too much to drink, the truth comes out !!!

Many thanks, Robert and Gray.
But hey, I've got a long way
to go (to match yourselves say)
before I can shout 'hooray',
so I'll just have to stay
and slog away, if that's okay.
Pray have a nice day.
Keith

PS Marian(a), I haven't been at the wine,
and that's the truth.

Thanks and congrats, Robert M. What does M stand for?
Thousands? Compared with you I'm a mere novice,
still wet behind the website ears. :)
