Hi Everyone,

Peter is being played a lot on our local radio station here in Oxford. The listeners kept on at the radio presenters, asking them to play a song or two - some said that they would but couldn't because they didn't have the CD!! Now they ALL have a copy which is good!

This is a lovely selection of songs and it is good to hear a new quality singer on the radio.

Peter gave an interview to the Mail on Sunday last weekend.
He seems to be a very down to earth person and not affected by all the attention he is getting.

Hi Everyone,

We were listening to the David Allen Show last Saturday night.
David has been playing Peter's CD for a few weeks now and just loves it!

A short time ago he hadn't heard of Peter and didn't have a copy of his CD. The listeners kept on at him, (listener pester power worked a treat here!) asking him to play a track from it so he managed to get hold of a copy and like many of us, just loves Peter's music very much.

This coming Saturday Peter will be a guest on David's show.
I'm not sure if he will be live in the studio or at the end of the telephone!
David's show starts at 9pm and Peter will probably be on at 10pm or just after.

The David Allen Show goes out to the Oxford/Berkshire/Kent and Southampton areas but of course you can always listen on line.
If you haven't listened before then please do as you will like the music that David plays.

David is a Matt fan and plays a track most weeks.
Last Saturday night was no different to any other Saturday.
As well as Matt we heard Peter Grant singing "Walk Away" which was a nice cover version.

There was also a good artist feature with music too on Eva Cassidy.
Andy Williams, Perry Como and many other artists were played as well.

I do hope that a few of you will be listening in next Saturday night.

Hi Marian,

No it's not on the DAB network.
You can listen on line by going to BBC Radio Oxford/Berkshire/Kent or Southampton. :D

I had the pleasure of seeing Peter Grant live and the show was brilliant, he played to two packed houses and the atmosphere was electric! his voice is amazing and just the same as his recordings....
old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternatives.

Hi Diane, glad you enjoyed Peter Grant, we will have to get to see him at some point. He is amazing isn't he and we're not surprised at packed houses.

No, this Peter Grant is a young man from England who released an album of standards earlier this year. It made the top 10 of the album chart. One of his inspirations is Matt Monro. He could have appeared on Primetime Radio, but I doubt it.

Welcome to the forum, Thomas. Please post often. We don't have many contributors from Northern Ireland. We all love Matt Monro's music. It doesn't matter what age you are!

Paul, thomas was asking about radio presenter David Allan, as mentioned in Hilarys post, NOT Peter Grant

Thanks for continuing to always correct me, Robert. But I did know who "Ken" was. Please note that the only newspapers I read are British and my primary source for news is BBC Radio 1 and 2.

I was referring to the other message (on the London congestion charge) where you explained to me who "Ken" was. We multi-task 24/7 in the US and China, so I think it's fun to cross-reference ideas across the various subjects in this forum. Sorry to confuse you. :)
