There was another 'Carry On' movie on UK Gold tonight, 'Girls' I think, didn't watch it as it was a later effort and I aren't as keen on the films made in the 70's.
My sister loves Carry On Screaming, the 'mind if I smoke?' gag her favourite, this is the line that Frenella Fielding (is that how you spell her name!? :)) speaks as she lies on a couch.
I hope you all remember these gags otherwise I'm talking myself! :)

I've just finished reading a biography of Eric Morecombe, very good it was.
Must tell you a line that made me chuckle, after his 2nd heart attack Eric told his wife he might not be around the following year as his health was not the best, and if that was to be the case he preferred a cremation service, with his favourite song being 'smoke get's in your eyes'. :)

Gosh, I've just realised I may of offended again, really, really sorry if I have, tell me and I'll lift the above two posting from the forum.

I should not think you have offended anyone Gray--it's good to have a laugh, and not take things too seriously.

The film you were referring to was Cleo, Mariana?
Yes Gray, you were correct, it is the Black Fingernail one, where Charles Hawtrey comes in and asks Kenneth if he is looking for the black fingernail and then promptly bangs his nail with a little hammer!

Thanks for that, Marian! :)

Just to say I saw Pirates 3 At The Worlds End the other day, by gum it was dull.
I aren't a huge fan of the first two to be honest, but the third installment was poorly plotted, acted and paced in my opinion :(

'Carry on spying' was my all time favourite carry on film, the 1st to feature barbara windsor and a real spoof of a spy film. 'Carry on screaming' is a close 2nd in my opinion, with the immortal 'Frying Tonight' line at the end.

Watched the "magical" compilation film THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT on DVD tonight 8) 8) originally from 1974. Most of the main presenters in the film are no longer with us, apart from three female presenters, Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynold's and Liza Minnelli (and Mickey Rooney).

We are going to see Mickey Rooney in September at High Wycombe, although he is also appearing at the Beck Theatre a week before Fans- Re united.
We should have gone there to see him and kept our seats warm . Mickey Rooney will be be 87 in September. Been married Eight times

Watched "That's Entertainment" Part 2 from 1977 tonight. It was good, but not as good as Part 1. The 3 box set (the third disc was made in 1994) is available on the HMV website for £10.99, which is good value, as I paid over twice as much about 18 month's ago  I should have waited longer

Watched The 101 Dalmations last night, although I have seen it before it is a film I can watch over again, I think Glenn Close is brilliant in the role. 8)

I'm probab;y telling you something you already know, but 'That's Entetrtainment' was a huge success at the box office in '74 Robert.
I believe there was a 70mm print released at the time which would of been pretty awesome to watch in a cinema.

Watched the "extras" disc that comes with Singin' In the Rain tonight. For anyone who likes old B&W movie clips from the golden age of cimema, this is for you, exceptional clips and also a one and a half hour "film" on MGM 8) now playing the very best of Doris Day CD 8)
