Especially as my sky plus box is still not recording !!

Luckily I have manged to work out how to record from Freeview which is installed on my new dvd recorder---but for some reason neither BBC1 nor BBC2 appear to be on there--so I have some working out to do later today--Luckily I had already decided that I wanted to watch "I'd do Anything " live--but I also wanted to record it and I cannot. I know it sounds stuoid, but I am lost without my skyplus---it just makes everything so much more flexible. Hopefully , they should be round on Wednesday--3rd time in 2 weeks !!!

Yes,..when did we last have an evening like this, juggling between channels.
I'd Do Anything will take priority, but the Neil Diamond show looks good doesn't it.
Britains Got Talent, I was having my doubts last night watching One ....or should I say Two of them.

We were expecting the emergency services to be standing by for Anya in case the stage collapsed.

I think I'll most probably flick between the two finals as it's better to see those results live, and record Neil Diamond.

I was convinced Jessie was going to win as she was so obviously Cameron and Andrew's favourite. So, a real surprise with Jodie, but hopefully she will do the role of Nancy proud. :D :D :D

I just loved the show tonight--I wanted it to go on forever !!

It was great seeing all the "old" Nancy's and Olivers, and I loved the duets between the 3 Nancys and 3 Olivers. Lee Mead looked as gorgeous as ever. I was not really sure at the end how it would go, as Jessie seemed back in favour, but in the end the public voted for Jodie.

I felt like I wanted to see it all again, right from the first auditions, and I did copy all the shows onto my sky plus--but it has now been taken away to be mended, and there is a good chance that I will lose everything on my hard disk.

I cannot wait for the next search to start---I am sure there will be another one.

Yes , we agree Marian, it's been a fantastic series. From the beginning of tonights show we expected that One out of the Two favourites.. Jodie and Samantha would go, leaving Jessie to be eliminated, but as the show went on we were beginning to wonder which one it would be, but it is Jodie who fits the Nancy and whose singing was better than ever, and tonight we even detected a bit of Georgia Brown in her rendition of "As Long As He Need Me"  so that really sealed it for us.

I missed the first part of the show, but saw the results at 2045. It was great to see all the old Nancies, inlcuding Sarah, who had been my favourite. Both Jodie and Jessie did themselves proud, singing their best songs from the show. I was really delighted to see Northern lass Jodie win, and her reaction was wonderful! Even more impressive, after all her hysterics, was how quickly she regained her composure to get back up and sing the finale! I am sure Jessie will have an offer on its way very soon for another show. Well done Jodie and good luck to the restl

I think the right winner was chosen; it would be interesting to know how close the vote was, if at all, but maybe we won't. I thought that Sam somehow looked as if she knew she was going out before Graham Norton even announced it, and while Jessie put such a lot of effort into her own performances and will surely be disappointed, she is also young and has plenty of time to capitalise on the experiences that she's gained. So well done, Jodie!

Jodie was on Breakfast Time TV this morning, obviously very happy to have got the part and in a really calm and relaxed conversation.

Well, Amanda is delighted and is already looking into buying tickets to see Jodie!
I hope Cameron Mackintosh shows a bit more enthusiasm for his leading lady than he did on Saturday night! :)

I believe they said it will be another 6 months before it opens---but no doubt they are taking bookings already, like they did with "Maria". I have heard several times that they think Jodie is "too big" for the role--but as she has shown, she can probably lose more weight beore opening night, if necessary.

Much as I love these shows, they certainly do seem to be doing a great job of promoting each particular musical--I wonder whose idea it was to start with---ALW probably--that is how a rich man gets richer !!

Hi Marian

Amanda saw an advert in a Sunday paper that was advertising an overnight stay in London with tickets for Oliver included.
Amanda is desperate to see Jodie, she is a big fan of her voice.

I had a big surprise today on "Loose Women"--Gareth Gates was a guest, and apparently he is playinmg in pantomime this Christmas--and although I know his talkig had improved, he did seem to hesitate a little on Loose Women, matybe that was nerves--so really brave of him to attemot panto--although if he is doing a lot of singing , he should be Ok.

But the biggest surprise is , that when he finishes panto--end of January--he then starts rehearsing to take over the lead in "Joseph"---replacing Lee Mead !!! I knew that Lee did not want to be in it forever, but I would not have thought that Gareth's voice was strong enough for the part of Joseph--he is in it till at least June. It showed a pic of him in the coat-and apparently there is only 1 coat---Jason, Donny, Philip, and Lee have all worn the same coat.

I also saw a picture of Connie Fisher last week---she looked really different---I did not like the dress she was wearing--but her hair was darker--really short, and spiky--I did not like it one little bit.

:?: Sarah Kennedy and the BBC couldn't stop talking about the West End Oliver production and that someone is starring in it that hasn't been on stage in 20 years (or something like that). Who is this person?
