The beginning of the "Tour de France" --after it left London, came through Kent, including many of the villages very local to where I am living---lots of people lining the route, and various activities in some of the villages.

Get The Party Started did better on the Physical Single chart, where it debuted at #21.

These days #47 is an excellent position, considering all the songs that can be purchased through downloads.

That's a consolation Paul. At least in the physical singles chart, it made the Top 30!

Bassey meets McCartney

Dame Shirley's comment leaves Macca speechless
By ANI

London, October 9 (ANI): Welsh singer Dame Shirley Bassey left former Sir
Paul McCartney red-faced by passing a comment about his rear during a Q
Magazine photoshoot recently.

Sources have revealed that the two music legends embraced and wished each
other hello.

A moment later Bassey let it slip that McCartney had a "nice ass", leaving
him speechless.

"Dame Shirley made a beeline for Macca and the pair embraced and said
their hellos," the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

"But Dame Shirley left Macca speechless when she looked at his behind,
gave an approving nod and said 'nice ass'. Dame Shirley was howling with
laughter while Macca looked a little sheepish," the source added.

McCartney paid a tribute to his wife Linda when he picked up the Q Icon
award.

"I thank Linda for seeing me through some real tough periods. Thanks also
for my fantastic, beautiful children," he said.

He, however, did not mention his second wife Heather Mills. (ANI)

Saw the Fashion Rocks programme on Channel 4 on Saturday featuring Shirley Bassey. Like Terence, I did wonder why she didn't promote the songs from her new album. Enjoyed some of the other acts too, including Razorlight, who sang their hit "In The Morning", and Roisin Murphy, formerly of Moloko, who performed a song called "Overpowered" from her new album.

Bassey Wants To Work With Kanye

World Entertainment News
By WENN World Entertainment News - Monday, October 29 10:40 am

Dame Shirley Bassey is desperate to work with Kanye West - after the
rapper/producer impressed her with his sampling of her hit Diamonds Are
Forever in 2005.

And Bassey is reportedly keen to work around the Stronger hitmaker's
schedule to see the collaboration come into fruition.

A source says, "She's had a brilliant year. Her performance at Glastonbury
went down better than anyone had expected.

"She wants to do a duets record and it depends on when her schedule
coincides with Kanye."
