I'm listening to Jack Jones's newly remastered album "I Never Had it So Good"-I've got to get it embedded in Peter's brain before we see Jack again on Thursday.

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
After listening to the CD, I think they should have re-titled it ..........."12 of the slowest ever songs to fall asleep to" ...............Susan has a great voice, but some of these songs are dare I say......dire, yet one or two are very good, but most are non desrcript, and...........all are VERY SLOW, which does suite Susans voice, but come on, one or two up tempo songs would have been ideal........to break up the monotony

Been listening to Vear Lynn's no. 1 album. Really good selections of songs, one of my favourites is "Travelling Home", haven't heard this one before.

Listening to Johnny Mathis beginning Eric Hall's show singing "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" and joined by Bette Midler with " Let It Snow " and "Walking In A Winter Wonderland "

That song "Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas" always reminds me of many happy "Mathis" Christmas get togethers at "the Grand Hotel" in Birmingham---opposite a small public garden.
"there's a tree in the Grand Hotel--and one in the park as well"

I have to tell you,Marian. If you were in The Grand Hotel, Colmore Row,Birmingham the garden is the graveyard and grounds---opposite a small public garden.
of St.Phillips Cathedral. One of the-if not the smallest Cathedrals in England. (Wherein The Medieaval Babes are soon to,
ahem, perform some Christmas Carols,Hymns etc)
The garden has now been purloined by the teen/adult Goth community of Brum City Centre who have elevated the public
space to a weekend rendezvous point. They are usually very pale and haunted looking to begin with. Heaven help them if any
of the underground crypt occupants see fit to make an unscheduled appearance one fine day/night.
