I still love the name Ethel and the song. :)

:!: But I think we have identified our first Matt Monro marmite track: Ethel Baby. Are there any others? Perhaps Wednesday's Child?

I agree with you Jon. I would also question the inclusion of "There's a kind of hush"......"You don't have to say you love me" or even "Don't sleep in the subway" are better showcases for Matt's talent and a strong ballad makes for a better finale than "Never fall in love again". I realise that the album is aimed at those who are not already big Matt fans but I just think there are some strange inclusions if the desired effect is to be achieved. Who actually picks these tracks anyway ?

Rmoore wrote:I don't see it as misleading. The song Impossible Dream WAS featured in the Honda Ad. It may not have been Matt but it was the song.

There is nothing in the listing to say that it was Matt's version so I don't see the problem!(snip)
....and Honda's impossible dream was to win the Forumula 1 world championship ???

Could it have been Andy Williams on the advert?

Didn't sound like it to me. I thought it was Garrison Keiller (spelling?) himself

edit - however a quick Google suggests that it was indeed Andy Williams on the advert.

Anyone got any cookies?

If you own 'I'll never fall in love again' you've done well as it's never been released before!

Plus you get 'This Is The Life' in Stereo and many more from original master tapes for the first time.

No Richard, I don't have that song.............but I did say, I think I own all the tracks  ...........Michele did say The Greatest was mainly for the more casual MM fan, so I presumed all the tracks were "repeats"
