Hi Mark, good to see you posting again after your move. Hope it wasn't too stressful like many of them generally are.
There are constant discussions on the forum, but we're sure that you'll soon catch up.

Hi Mark and the Gang,
Welcome back, and welcome front! I've been busy too so it's nice to be reminded to get talking again! Hope you are busy singing also?

I think the main thing you missed Mark has been all this bl..dy rain that keep dropping from the sky   But then again maybe you got some as well

The bad news is that there's more to come, over some parts of the country but Oxford, Berkshire, and areas of London in particular mentioned early this morning.

Lovely and sunny here today so far. We are heading off shortly in our little old MG to Mapledurham near the river in Berkshire, so please send a search party if I don't come back tonight! :? :? :?

Be safe Marian, we know what that little MG means to Peter.
We don't want him to have to make choices of rescue in an emergency.

Glad to hear you got home safely Marian. The weather in that part of the country is just looking horrendous.

I wonder how Hilary has been getting on-she lives in Oxfordshire--one of the worst hit places at the moemt.

Yes, I know parts of Oxfordshire have been hit badly. The River Thames is expected to burst its banks today causing more misery and hardship.
Hope where Hilary lives it is okay. We were by the river yesterday and the Thames was very high, and it is expected the Mill where we were yesterday will be underwater today. We've had some rain this morning but nothing like last Friday, thank goodness.
Marian.

So glad you're all safe and sound! This Summer is awful and with no sign of it getting any better. My son lives in Deal, Kent and he said they had a beautiful day yesterday. Here in South Wales it's raining again, but no flooding where we are! Sad news though; even my goldfish in the garden pond are wet this morning! (Sorry just trying to cheer everyone up!) I sang in a large marquee last week - a full house with 70 people packed in - the great thing was 67 were female!!!!
Kind regards to all.

It has been pouring down in my part of Kent today---still is in fact.

On top of that, a water-main has burst and the main road into and out of Paddock Wood is flooded.

Not as bad as the rest of the country, I know.
