13. JOSEPH CONRAD - Jozef Korzeniowski

I am presently watching "MASTERPIECE MYSTERY" on PBS which is shown every Sunday night here in the States....

How about naming some of the TV titles of Masterpiece MYSTERY! or CLASSIC that have been broadcast since 2008.

1. INSPECTOR LEWIS (Mystery!) - I'm watching Series 5 ("Indelible Stain") currently on PBS-TV

I'll double up on this as there should be more interest in the subject---

It is a bit difficult Henry, as we do not have MASTERPIECE MYSTERY or CLASSIC over here, and I suppose we could guess, but they may have been on before 2008--or not at all---so I am going to guess a CLASSIC- [we do not receive PBS in Uk]

Marian, that is surprising news that the U.K. does not show Masterpiece Theater on T.V. over there
Since they are written and directed by Brits and mostly star English actors and screen plays & novels
are mostly written by English authors! Maybe we can change from "Masterpiece(U.S.Title) to BBC-TV
2 hour drama series (i.e.-"Foyle's War")

All these programmes are shown here, maybe not all on BBC but we certainly get them.

Hey Henry, I hear you about Masterpiece Theatre. I believe Downton Abbey is on ITV, and the new series starts this week on the 16th I believe. I can't wait to see it, but it airs here in the US , next January. So I'll probably just get the DVD's when it comes out. Sherlock (with Benjamin Cumberpatch) is on BBC. They show it on BBC America. I am so looking for a "Free Bates" t-shirt.

Sorry-you have misunderstood me--I did not say we do not get those programmes on tv over here--of course we do.

But they do not come as under a title of "Materpiece Mystery" or "Masterpiece Classic"-----they just are shown as separate programmes---but maybe not all were after 2008--it is difficult to remember--I am quite happy to go on with this subject, especially as I have no answers for the other one.

I will let you deciode.

Sorry, Marian.....I guess we can stay with the original topic and changing it to BBC-TV drama series titles....
These are usually 90-120 minutes long for each part of the series.
