Rob, I agree with you. The first form I like will always be the lp and then the cd

I would never listen to an Lp again--unless there was no alternative.
CDs are so much more versatile---and my Ipod is even more versatiler than CD'S , so on the whole, most of the music I listen to is on one of my Ipods .

I buy power cables and speaker cables from a company in the states and have wired earthing cable from my wall sockets to a £200+ extention box, so LP's and CD's soundstage is astounding. This cuts out power surges. Sad as it seems but even putting tapestry type wall hangings on your walls will absorb the sound from your stereo giving it a richer base sound, almost sound proofing your room.

Al Martino's "My Heart Sings" album in the car this evening, remembering Al on his 85th birthday.

That's a nice Album of Al's John. Also David Jacob's made Andy Williams the common denominator on his programme tonight and played Three of Andy's songs. :) :)

Yes, a nice album Lena and Harry. Good that David was playing some of Andy's songs too. :)

Matthew Morrison (from Glee) the cd was waiting for me when I got home and I can't stop playing it, he has a really nice voice and the duet with Elton John is great.

John, I always enjoy listening to Robert Goulet, I saw him onstage in the 80's and he was great, it was a Royal show here in Edinburgh and an edited version was shown on tv which I recorded. The show was fantastic and had Shirley Bassey, Juliet Prowse, Linda Evans, Sarah Brightman, Jacques Louissier, Terry Wogan, Bob Monkhouse, Kirk Douglas, George Segal, Rory Bremner etc:
