Ella Fitzgerald's Irving Berlin Songbook. Particularly like "Reaching For The Moon" - what a lovely song!

I have a load of Ella's cd's but that song is unfamiliar to me. I haven't played her for awhile so perhaps it's time to take them off the shelf!

Have you heard Ella sing Stone Cold Dead In De Market? It's great!

Relient K - Is For Karoke
One Direction - Live While We're Young (single) - Can't wait for the new album "Take Me Home" on Nov 13. Strangely I find their music appealing
Rick Springfield - Music For The End Of The World
Ellie Goulding - Halcyon

We have quite a lot of Ella Fitzgerald CDs too but haven't got that song. Although after listening to it on Youtube, nice song but not quite like most of her fabulous recordings.

I have just seen this song "Reaching For The Moon" on a 5CD Box set on Amazon titled 100 Hits Legends Ella Fitzgerald, a bargain price at £5
These 100 Hits are a series of other singers too.

Hmm, interesting that some of you aren't familiar with Ella's version of Berlin's "Reaching For The Moon"; it is on a few Ella CDs. My favourite Ella recording is Rodgers and Hart's "I Didn't Know What Time It Was"; also love "The Blue Room".

David Jacob's has played Two of my special favourites tonight and I think John's too... Jerry Vale's " Poor Butterfly." :) and Robert Goulet... "Long Ago And Far Away."
A nice selection of music as always from David, although I thought he sounded rather tired tonight. :|
