I just tried the BBC I player on my PC and it worked perfectly, if you have a licence I don't see what the problem could be.

Yes I can sign up to the Iplayer as I obviously have a tv licence...………………..but I want to WHY there is no sound now when recording radio programmes on BBC radio channels ………...that is my point

I have gone on the Iplayer on my tv and the same message has appeared on that so maybe until I sign in/join up to the Iplayer it will stop the radio recordings from working properly...………..so I just signed up/joined the Iplayer ……….so hopefully everything will be ok now...…….but I'm not counting my chickens just yet  :)

Yes I gathered you had a licence Robert but wondered why you mentioned it. Have you changed any settings on your PC? Since Windows 10 I can't use the pound sign but the dollar sign works, also if I want to use " I have to use the @ key as they have reversed - totally weird!

Well I recorded the Don Black programme as usual on my Youview box and has happened for the past two weeks the sound did not work again !! ………………...so listening to it on my PC …………..Don played one of Matts loveliest ballads Time After Time :) :) .........but it's another song he has played many times before...…...why he cannot play a few of Matts lesser known songs is getting annoying …………..you can expect other radio2 DJs to play Matts most memorable songs but not Don Black !!

The show tonight was called "Don remembers Marilyn Monroe" ………...but Don played only ONE song sung by Marilyn Monroe !!

and finally  .............the shows playlist missed a song out completely one sung by Julie London !

Listening to Dons show on my PC as the sound did not record again...…….they have changed the look of the iPlayer Radio page...…… I couldn't find the show's playlist, so that must have gone now …………..Don did play one of my favourite "matchless" Matt's recordings and I cannot remember him playing the song before (the song was on the list of songs I sent to the show a while a go) ...…….Matt's lovely version of the ballad Yesterday When I Was Young :) :)

Robert with your complaint that nothing recorded I decided to key in two Radio 2 shows, Paul O'Grady which worked and Don Black which did not infact nothing came up at all - very strange isn't it?

Robert
You got your wish with Yesterday When I Was Young, which Don played Matt singing last night.: progress of a kind. He also played Johnny Mathis 's recording of Then I'll Be Tired of You, which you don't usually hear played, so that's a little bit more encouraging too. In fact Don has played Johnny Mathis every week for the last month, not something he has always done. But I still wish he'd play some more obscure tracks.

Brian Matthew was the best for obscure tracks, he is greatly missed.

It is very strange Karl, as up until three or four weeks ago it recorded perfectly ........since then every time I try to record a radio programme there is never any sound at all, but at least you had sound with Paul O' Grady...........but why the sound should just disappear like it has is, as you say very strange indeed and very annoying :!:

No Don Black show tonight because of Radio 2's coverage of the Hyde Park concert …………….I watched the segment on iPlayer where Kylie and Jason Donovan reunite for their 1988 hit song Especially For You :)
