Hi Gray, Mariana44 and everyone. I think both "Nature Boy" and "Younger Than Spring Time" are superb song's that our Matt would have performed magnificently. Well picked out Gray and Mariana44.

Hi Paul--I do not know Helen Marrill--but I know that the "Coventry Carol" is beautful--it seems to be fogotten on most Christmas compilations-I originally had it on an old LP of Geoff Love! It was my husbands favourite.

Marian -- I guess we're even, because I've never heard of Geoff Love. Yes, Coventry Carol is beautiful and rarely recorded this days. That's why I cherish the Helen Merrill recording. If one of my co-workers can show me how to do it (I'm very low-tech), I'll make a CD copy of the Helen Merrill's Christmas album and her album of Rodgers and Hammerstein songs (I know you love musicals!) and bring it to the fan club event on November 20.

You really must hear her lovely and unique voice. I would think David Jacobs would play her on his programme. It would be refreshing as I think he plays too much Frank Sinatra and Lena Horne.

Hi Paul-I forgot you are in USA--Geoff Love was a popular bandleader--sadly no longer with us.

That is a really kind offer of yours, yes I really do love all musical songs, and I never tire of hearing different versions of them. I will look forward to seeing you in November. Did you get my message about the musicals in other languages--Marian

Hi Paul, Mariana44 and everyone. To let Paul know that if he has heard of the orchestra "Manuel and the Music of the Mountain's", Geoff Love was their leader and conductor. They had quite a few well known composition's. A few of them made it into the British chart's.

Hi all---this song is one that I call a "Matt" song--a lively up-beat song---I have a really good version by Michael Buble and Jane Monheit-[any more Michael Buble fans out there ??], but I think Matt would have been able to swing it too!!

"I won't dance"

Hi Marian

I am not aware of Babalu. It must have been recorded before he made it big. Michael Buble was in Malaysia to promote his 1st album and he came across as very charming indeed.

We are also huge Michael Buble fans, have all his recordings, and we feel that he has made a big contribution in the world of music recently that's brought about the revival of the popular song.
It's hard to choose favourites, but Two that we specially like are "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart " and "The Way You Look Tonight" :)

My favourite Buble songs are Sway & Save The Last Dance For Me. He really repopularised Sway as it is now sung very often among Asian entertainers.

Hello Mariana44, Lena and Harry, Terence and everyone. Micheal Buble is a very good "new" singer of our kind of music, from Canada.
I suppose I have just been very lucky Mariana44 when I chose "Moon River" in April as a song I wish Matt could have sung. Let's hope some other people's choices are included also.
Mariana44, can I just ask, if you don't mind but why the 44 at the end of your name. Your age?? Your house number?? Or the year you were born. Sorry about that, please forgive me, for I know not what I say.

Hi Robert--no I do not mind you asking why I use 44 at the end of my name--I wish I could say that it was my age

Basically, when I signed on to this website, I used my first name---Marian---but it was already used. So I added an "a " on. plus 44, as it is where I used to live, and I live at 4 now--it is just easy for me to remember.

I am glad to see some more Michael Buble fans--he is so rarely mentioned on these pages.

Did you all receive your dvd today---I have not had time yet to watch--shopping to do---dogs to walk---etc, and I am just out for the night. But I have the whoile weekend free, so looking forward to seeing it then..

Hi Mariana44. Thank you for your reply Mariana44. I think most sport's fan's will be pre-occupied by the World Cup this weekend, with England playing Paraguay tomorrow afternoon. But there are two matches on TV everyday for the first couple of week's or so.
