We watched Greyfriars Bobby last night, a super Disney film set in the 1860's in Scotland, with Donald Crisp. Brilliant film, and the original as well. :D

I just love that film "Greyfriars Bobby"-I have seen it loads of times, and cry every time.

When I went to Edinburgh, I went to see the statue of "Greyfriars Bobby",
it was based on a real life story.

Watched "The Black Dragon" last night, an old film with Bela Lagosi in. I usually like his films, in fact I just got a box set of his films, but wasn't all that keen on it. One of those films where you don't know what is really going on, and you're no wiser at the end of the film. :?

Here's one you may know of, John - I watched Blood From The Mummy's Tomb at the weekend.
A British chiller from 1971-ish (I think).
It was absolute rubbish :) :) :)

Quite a good film, but the ending was a bit sudden. From 1961, I think.
Was that whilst you were still in kindergarten, Marian?

I know you (and others too) are big fans of the Carry On films john..............do you know the Producer of all those wonderfully British comedies Peter Rogers has passed away aged 95 :( sad news RIP :( he was hoping to produce one more in the Carry On series Carry On London but that is sadly not possible anymore, unless someone else produces it.

Very sad news that, Robert.
Have they pulled the plug on Carry On London?
Is it going ahead? I know it's had lots of funding difficulties.

John, I am a big fan of The Innocents.
Really, really good, I think.

Did you like the film, Marian?

I was actually nursing at the time John, and yes I did enjoy the film Gray.

It was quite interesting at the time, as the boy I went with, I think the only time we went out, was the son of a patient, who was Richard Todd's Farm Manager's wife, and they lived at the farm.
It was a lovely farm with a herd of beautiful Jersey cattle, pigs, and the horse Richard Todd had ridden in the film Robin Hood.
:D :D
Marian
