Apparently Marty Robbins wrote it, but the version I remember from my teens was Terry Dene. :wink:

I remember that one very well--as I recall, Terry Dene was married to singer Edna Savage, who at one time went out with my brother--for a very short time!!!

I am not sure how my brother got to know Edna Savage--I have a feeling that she lived round West London, which is where we lived.. He was a good few years older than me.
